Double Miroir

The exhibition Double Miroir will open on May 7th 2025 at Le Bicolore – Maison du Danemark in Paris exemplifies Project Pressure’s mission to use art as a tool for climate engagement, combining scientific insight with visual storytelling to communicate urgency and impact.

Double Miroir refers to both a scientific concept and a metaphor for climate change—where greenhouse gases act like a double mirror, letting sunlight in but trapping heat, amplifying global warming. It also reflects dual perspectives on the same environmental crisis by the two artists in the show.

Presented together for the first time, Peter Funch and Klaus Thymann—both long-time Project Pressure collaborators—offer distinct yet complementary approaches. Funch layers archival and contemporary images using RGB separation to visualize change over time, while Thymann recreates 1930s aerial glacier surveys with modern techniques, revealing stark transformations in the landscape.
